This occupational certificate fast-tracks students into the pipefitting and fabrication field in just one semester. Training takes place in a shop lab that simulates real-world industrial environments, aligning with NCCER standards to jumpstart a career as a journeyman pipefitter or fabricator. Graduates are ready to enter high-demand roles in construction, petrochemical, and industrial piping systems.

The Pipefitting Technology is intended to provide students with all skills needed to enter the workforce. At this time, this award is what employers value and hire for job entry, so the College does not currently have other certificates or degrees related to this learning pathway.
Learning Outcomes and Career Skills
A student completing this award will be able to:
- Cut pipe to the proper length by utilizing a tape measure.
- Utilize proper safety practices.
- Calculate piping takeoffs and fabricate piping using these takeoffs.
- Interpret industry specification sheets.
- Make field measurements.
- Draw a piping diagram from field measurements.
- Fabricate a butt weld, socket weld, and threaded pipe.
- Prepare pipe and fittings using proper grinding techniques.
