This is an introduction to the various aspects of petroleum industry including equipment, systems, instrumentation, operations, and the various scientific principles. Addresses a variety of petroleum technologies: exploration, drilling, production, transportation, marketing and chemical processing industries.

PTRT 1401  Overview of Petroleum Industry  4 Credits   (3 Lec, 2 Lab)  

This is an overview of the entire petroleum industry, including purposes and proper procedures in a variety of different petroleum technologies: exploration, drilling, production, transportation, marketing, and refining. Students will analyze relationships between finding, producing, and transporting oil and gas; and select and use terms and phrases associated with the petroleum industry.
