This course is an overview of safety, health and environmental issues in the performance of all job tasks for industrial workers of state/federal regulations and guidelines, which require industrial safety training. Topics include the 29 CFR 1910, 1926, and National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 70E standards such as confined space entry, emergency action, lock out/tag out, arc flash, and other work-related subjects.

As part of the course, students use statistical process control to collect, organize, and analyze data; describe the principles of quality control; demonstrate team skills; and apply quality tools to process systems.
