The Automotive Technology learning pathway prepares students to diagnose, service, and repair the increasingly complex systems found in today's vehicles. The Auto Tech, ASE A2-3 Transmissions, ICLC provides focused training in automatic transmissions and transaxles, manual drivetrains, and axle systems. Students develop hands-on skills in system operation, diagnosis, disassembly, assembly, and repair that support preparation for the Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) A2 Automatic Transmission/Transaxle and A3 Manual Drive Train and Axles certifications and continued education within the Automotive Technology pathway.

Program Admission Requirements

Prior to enrollment in the Automotive Technology program, students must attend an information session with a program coordinator for the automotive program they are considering. These sessions provide important information about program requirements, enrollment steps, and available Automotive Technology pathways.
