The Welding learning pathway provides hands-on training in welding processes and techniques used in construction, manufacturing, fabrication, and other industrial environments. The GTAW (TIG) Welder, OSA provides focused training in Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW), commonly known as TIG welding, with an emphasis on equipment setup, safe welding practices, welding positions, joint designs, and the development of precision welding skills. The award provides an entry point for students seeking specialized GTAW skills and supports continued education within the Welding pathway.

Learning Outcomes and Career Skills
A student completing the last award in the pathway will be able to:
- Apply appropriate safety procedures when using welding tools and equipment.
- Set up and operate Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW) equipment.
- Apply GTAW techniques using appropriate welding positions and joint designs.
- Demonstrate welding skills appropriate for industrial and fabrication environments.
- Apply appropriate procedures to produce quality welds.
