    Students who place out of MATH 1314 College Algebra will take only MATH 2412 Pre-Calculus Math their first term and take EDUC 1301 Introduction to the Teaching Profession in their first term.

    Students who place out of both MATH 1314 College Algebra and MATH 2412 Pre-Calculus Math may move all other MATH courses one semester earlier and start in MATH 2413 Calculus I. These students should also complete the following courses: EDUC 1301 Introduction to the Teaching Profession, EDUC 2301 Introduction to Special Populations, and SPAN 1412 Beginning Spanish II.

    Students who successfully completed at least two years of the same foreign language in high school should omit SPAN 1411 Beginning Spanish I from their degree plan and take EDUC 1301 Introduction to the Teaching Profession and EDUC 2301 Introduction to Special Populations instead.

    Texas State University will accept up to sixty-six (66) transfer credit hours. If a student has completed all courses in the degree plan above, they may wish to additionally take up to six hours out of the following courses: EDUC 1301 Introduction to the Teaching Profession, EDUC 2301 Introduction to Special Populations, and SPAN 1412 Beginning Spanish II.
